Captured ship: Friendship of Dublin (master Edward Cosgrave or Cosgrove).
History: an Irish ship (160 tons, 12 men, ten Irish, one Welsh and one from New England), bound from Charleston, South Carolina to the Isle of Wight, laden with rice and brazilwood; taken by the Spanish privateer Begonia of Bilbao on 4 March 1748, retaken on 7 March by the privateer Falmouth (Peter Hill commanding) and brought into Falmouth.
