Captured ship: the Friendship of Jersey (master Amos Philips).
History: an English ship (40 tons, 6 men), bound from Chester to Lisbon; taken on 10 January 1747 near Ushant by the French privateer Deux Cournnes (Jean Le Janne commanding), retaken on 13 January while en route to St Malo by HMS Hastings (Robert Wellard commanding) and brought into Plymouth.
