Captured ship: Le Frappe d'Abord (master Jacques Tueux).
History: a French privateer (45 tons, 8 guns, 54 men, mostly French but 8 from Genoa, 1 from Spain and 1 from the Netherlands), bound from Boulogne on a cruise; taken on 10 April 1747 near Portland by HMS Salisbury (George Edgecumbe commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
