Captured ship: Le St François of Dieppe (master François Drouet).
History: a French fishing boat (15 men 2 boys), bound from Dieppe to the coast of Dunkirk to fish for herring; taken on 17 October 1747 near Dunkirk by the privateer York (James Gravoner commanding), and brought first into Flushing and then into Dover.
