Captured ship: St François of Bordeaux (master Jean Lamarque).
History: a French ship (180 tons, 6 guns, 21 men), bound from Martinique to Bordeaux, laden with coffee, sugar and indigo; taken on 27 June 1744 by three ships, HMS Hampton Court (Savage Mostyn commanding), HMS Chester (Francis Geary commanding) and HMS Grampus (Richard Collins commanding) and brought into London.
