Captured ship: St Francisco de Paola (San Francisco de Paola) (master Joseph Cruañas).
History: a Spanish (Catalan) ship (122 tons, 4 guns, 18 men), bound from Gaeta to Barcelona, returning from transporting Spanish soldiers; taken in [early 1745] in the Seas of Bastia by HMS Spence (Matthew Buckle commanding), and brought into Genoa.
