Description

Captured ship: La Fortuné (commander Jean Baptiste Vincent de la Brimaniere).

History: a French privateer (230 tons, 22 guns, 172 men all French but two Italians), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 18 February 1746 by HMS Prince Frederick (Henry Norris commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
