Captured ship: Fortune of London (master William Moody).
History: an English ship (134 tons, guns, men), bound from Cork to Antigua, laden with beef, butter, pork, cloth and clothes; first captured on 24 May 1747 by the privateer Cheval de Mer (Peter Pedro commanding), retaken on 27 May by HMS Gloucester (Philip Durell commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
