History: an English smuggling vessel (27 tons, 3 guns) bound from Eastbourne to Boulogne to buy brandy and tea; taken on 18 June 1745 about 4 leagues off Hastings by the privateer Eagle snow (John Bazeley commanding), and brought into Dover.
