Captured ship: Elizabeth of London (master Patrick White, Pierre Moinet as prize master after the capture).
History: an English merchant ship (150 tons, 24 men and 4 passengers replaced by 12 Frenchmen; formerly the Spanish prize Port Royal or Porto Rial taken in 1744 by the English privateer Triumph), bound from London to Boston, New England in December 1745, laden with hemp, canvas and bale goods; taken on 27 December 1745 / 7 January 1746 off Falmouth by the French privateerTigre (Jean Pallier commanding), and retaken on 1/12 January 1746 in latitude 49º12'N by the privateer Saltash (George Powell commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
