Captured ship: Ehrenfried Christian of Stralsund (master Hans Klopstock).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (59 lasts, 7 men, 2 boys), bound from Bordeaux to Stockholm, laden with wine, brandy, prunes, sugar, coffee, indigo and sweetmeats; taken on 27 April / 8 May 1748 off Dungeness by the privateer Hunter (Wilson Smith commanding), and brought into Dover.
