Captured ship: Le Du Mouchy of Morlaix, formerly the Frank (master Pierre Fleury de Kr'alegan).
History: a French privateer (70 tons, 6 carriage guns, 8 swivel guns, 52 men) cruising from St Malo to Morlaix; taken in fight on 27 December 1746 / 7 January 1747 4 leagues south-west of Start Point by HMS Viper sloop (Robert Roddam commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
