Captured ship: La Dorade of Le Havre (master Charles Vimont).
History: a French merchant ship (160 tons, 15 men, 1 passenger; formerly the English merchant ship Alexander, captured and condemned at Guadeloupe), bound from Guadeloupe to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee and cotton; taken on 30 March/10 April 1745 by the privateer Princess Augusta (Elias Le Gross commanding), and brought into Fowey.
