Description

Captured ship: Les Deux Amis of Bordeaux (master Jean Ducot or De Court).

History: a French merchant ship (36 tons, 5 men), bound from La Rochelle to Bayonne, laden with wine and salt; taken on 2/13 January 1748 in the River of Bordeaux by the privateer Prince of Wales (John Beale commanding), and brought into Falmouth instead of Guernsey as intended.
