Captured ship: La Delangle, otherwise La Prise Angloise, formerly the English Rochester (master Jean Lacoste).
History: a French privateer (30 tons, 2 carriage guns and 14 swivels, 36 men), bound from Morlaix on a cruise; taken on 7/18 August 1746 off the Isle of Wight by HM Sloop Weazle (Hugh Palliser commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.

Court Papers: [CP 1-CP 8]: standing interrogatories, three examinations, commissioners' affidavit, allegation, attestation as to papers, abstract and translation of the six ship's papers.
Ship's Papers: [SP 1-SP 6]. SP 6 is a ransom bill for the Israel (master John Elles).
