Description

Captured ship: Le Dauphin of Ciboure (St Jean de Luz) (master Michel Molères).

History: French privateer (115 men, 81 of whom on board at capture) taken on 16/27 January 1746 in 50°30 N, 30 leagues west of Scilly by HMS Hampton Court (Savage Mostyn commanding) and brought into Plymouth.
