Captured ship: Le Dartmouth (master Louis Pinochet).
History: French merchant ship with a letter of marque (360 tons, 53 men) bound from Bordeaux via Lorient to Isle de France (Mauritius) laden with wine, brandy, flour, planks, provisions and tar; taken on 3/14 May 1747 by HM Sloop Falcon (Richard Gwynn commanding) of Admiral Anson's squadron [at the first battle of Cape Finisterre], and brought to Spithead.
