History: a French privateer (210 tons, 18 guns, 164 men); taken on 22 January/2 February 1748 by HMS Amazon (Michael Everitt commanding), HMS Romney (Samuel Barrington commanding) and HMS Rainbow (Patrick Baird commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
