Captured ship: El Christo de Affligidos (master Hieronimo de Evova).
History: a Spanish merchant ship (a sloop), bound from Tenerife to Grand Canaria, deserted by her crew off the shore of Grand Canaria; seized 19/30 January 1742 by HMS Liverpool (Thomas Swanton commanding) and brought into Madeira.
