History: a Danzig ship (350 tons, 14 men), bound from Bourgneuf to Danzig, laden with salt and brandy: taken on 28 April/9 May 1748 by the privateer Fox (Lawrence Squire commanding), and brought into the Downs, and then into the River Thames.
