Captured ship: Charming Molly (master Andrew Kelly and, when a French prize, Claude Lemeigre).
History: an English merchant ship (240 tons), bound from London to Trinity, Newfoundland, laden with provisions; taken in fight on 1/12 September 1745 in latitude 49º3 by the French privateer Prince de Conti of St Malo (M Chenard La Giraudox commanding) , retaken on 4/15 September in latitude 48º50 by the privateer Bristol (Robert Cleeves commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
