Description

Captured ship: La Charmante of Boulogne (master Jean Podevin otherwise Pot de Vin or Boudouin).

History: a French privateer (28 tons, 4 cannon, 12 swivel guns, 54 men); taken on 1/12 April 1746 off Portland by HMS Weazel (Anthony Kerly commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
