Captured ship: La Catherine or Katherin of Nantes (master François De Lorme or De Lorne).
History: a French merchant ship (250 tons, 10 guns, 32 men, 2 passengers) bound from Cap François, Saint Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee, indigo, tanned hides and dollars; taken on 19/30 June 1744 in 49º by the privateer Mediterranean (Edmund Stott commanding), and brought into Bristol.
