Captured ship: Le Cesar of Grandville (master Jacques Tanqueray).
History: a French ship (70 tons, 16 men), bound from the Banks of Newfoundland to Dieppe or Honfleur or Le Havre, laden with 15,000 mud fish, also called green fish, and 8 hogsheads of train oil; taken on 7 July 1744 about 8 leagues off the Sept Iles by the privateer Greyhound (Daniel Piton commanding) and brought into Guernsey.
