Captured ship: La Charmante Susanne (master Jean Michel Thomas).
History: a French merchant ship with a letter of marque (English-built, 160 tons, 6 guns, 28 men) bound from La Rochelle to Cayenne, laden with pork, beef, wine, soap, etc; taken on 5/16 May 1747 by HMS Monmouth (Henry Harrison commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
