Captured ship: La Catin of St Malo (master Macé Marion, Sieur du Fresne).
History: a French privateer, (150 tons, 112 men, 18 carriage guns), formerly the Vestall, bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken in fight on 26 May/ 6 June 1745 about 15 leagues from Guernsey by HMS Monmouth (Henry Harrison commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
