Captured ship: La Comtesse de la Rivière of St Malo (master Nicholas Chenard, Sieur de la Giraudais).
History: a French privateer (240 tons, 161 men, 20 guns), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 2/13 March 1745 at 49º50 by HMS Augusta (John Hamilton commanding), and brought into Kinsale.
