Captured ship: St Caetano otherwise San Cayetano tartan (master Joseph de la Torre, replacing Pedro Masquelet).
History: a Spanish privateer (60 tons, 63 men, 3 carriage guns, 6 swivel guns); taken on 26 March 1745 about 3 leagues from Cape Bogent by the privateer Garland (Robert Taverner commanding), and brought into Lisbon.
Documents:-
Court Papers:
Ship's papers, numbered SP 1-SP 17, including at SP 11 the muster roll of St Marguerite alias La Galère du Languedoc (master Balthazard Bonnefoux, second captain Antoine Buisson) which rightly belongs with the papers of that ship in HCA 32/130/7. Both ships were taken by the Garland on the same cruise, and evidently, SP 11 was separated from the papers of St Marguerite and mixed up with the papers of St Caetano before the papers were numbered and translated for the court.
