Description

Captured ship: La Catherine (Martin Béré).

History: French merchant barque (70 tons), bound from Penerf, laden with rye; taken on 14 May 1747 in Quiberon Bay by the privateers Weazel of Guernsey (Peter Bonamy commanding) and Squirrel of Jersey (Nicholas Le Couteur commanding), and brought into Guernsey.

  • [CP 2]: allegation;
  • [CP 3-CP 4]: attestation as to papers, and abstract and translation of the 7 ship's papers.
