Captured ship: St Clement of Nantes (master Michel le Pape).
History: a French merchant ship (250 tons, 45 men), bound from Cap François, Saint Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, indigo and coffee; taken in fight on 27 February / 9 March 1745 by the privateer Charming Nancy (John Luce commanding) and brought into Jersey.
