Captured ship: Santo Christo del Portal y Nuestra Senora de la Soledad (Don Pedro de Balparda commanding).
History: a Spanish privateer (a barcalonga, 25 tons, 2 carriage guns, 12 swivel guns, 58 men); taken in fight on 9 Sept 1742 off Dieppe by HMS Kinsale (John Hamilton commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
