Captured ship: Le Chasseur of Bayonne (master Michel Giraudel).
History: a French privateer (150 tons, 18 carriage guns, 8 swivel guns, 139 men); taken on 4/15 April 1746 at 49º about 40 leagues south of Cape Clear by HMS Yarmouth (Roger Martin commanding) with 9 other naval ships in sight, and brought into Plymouth.
