Captured ship: St Caetano (master Giacomo Donte).
History: a Spanish merchant ship with a Genoese pass (75 tons, 1 gun, 9 patteraroes, 9 men, 30 passengers) bound from Cadiz to Tenerife, laden with 3,487 jars of oil and other goods: taken on 7 May 1740 by the privateer Constantine Galley (James Whitchurch commanding) and brought into Gibraltar.
