Captured ship: Brigitta Catherina otherwise Brigitta Catrina (master Joen Andersen otherwise Jon Andersen Naskil).
History: a Danish merchant ship (with crew of 7 Norwegian men) bound from Arendal to St Martin, laden with balks, timber and deals; taken on 25 April/6 May 1748 off Gravelines by HMS Winchelsea (Henry Dyve commanding), and brought into Dover.
