Captured ship: Bregitta Antonia otherwise Brigida Antonia (master Gerrit Souq or Zouw).
History: a Dutch merchant ship bound from Amsterdam to Genoa, laden with wheat, mats, butter, tobacco etc; taken on 3 August 1744 off the coast of Galicia by the Spanish privateer Nuestra Senora de la Portaria, and the same day retaken by the privateer Surprize (Joseph Redmond commanding), and brought into Lisbon.
