Captured ship: La Boa Ventura formerly Le Cheval Marin (master Pedro Martin dos Santos).
History: a Portuguese merchant ship (90 tons, 9 men) bound from Bayonne to Nantes, laden with rosin and tar [gives details of 2 years of voyages]; taken on 26 September/7 October by the privateer Postilion (John Morgan commanding), and brought into Topsham.
