Captured ship: Le Bien Aimé of Bordeaux (master Pierre Amblard).
History: French merchant ship (250 tons, 10 carriage guns, 35 men) bound from Bordeaux to Quebec in Canada, laden with wines, brandy, salt, stuff, woollens, and silk, and many other merchandises; taken on 24 March/4 April 1748 in latitude 48° about 140 leagues west north west of Bordeaux by HMS Inverness (John Hinxman commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
