Captured ship: St Bernart of Rotterdam, and formerly the Brothers, of Irwin, captured and condemned in France (master Jan Lyder Suhling or Suckling).
History: a Dutch merchant ship [owned by John Macnamara], bound from Rotterdam to Dunkirk, laden with salted meat, wine, sugar, sugar candy, and train oil; taken on 7/18 August 1747 between Ostend and Dunkirk by HMS Sheerness (Molyneaux Shuldham commanding), and brought into Dover.
