Captured ship: Le Barnabas of St Malo (master Jean La Coste).
History: a French privateer (57 men); taken on 6/17 May 1746 about 12 leagues south of the Lizard by HMS Maidstone (Hon Augustus Keppel commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
