Captured ship: Baltimore (master Jerningham Bigg otherwise Jeremiah Biggs).
History: an English merchant ship, [(300 tons), bound from Virginia to London, laden with tobacco]; taken [in fight on 2/13 June 1745 by the French privateers La Royale and La Duchesse de Penthievre of Dunkirk, and retaken in fight and driven on shore on 4 July 1745], by HMS Bridgewater (Lord George Graham commanding), HMS Sheerness (William Gordon commanding) and HMS Ursula (John Fergusson commanding), and brought into Ostend.
