Description

Captured ship: La Badine of St Malo (master Claude Parchot).

History: a French vessel [90 tons, 6 mounted guns, 2 swivel guns, 25 men] bound from St Malo to the Petit Nord [the north coast of Newfoundland], laden with salt and cod fishing gear; taken on 10/21 May 1747 by the privateers Saltash (George Powell commanding) and Warren Galley (Charles Wilson commanding), and brought into the River Thames.
