Captured ship: Le Bon Larron of Cherbourg (master Louis Vincent).
History: a French privateer shallop (16 tons, 2 swivel guns); taken on 23 June/4 July 1744 on the back of the Isle of Wight by the privateer Southwell (John Wingfield commanding), and brought into Poole, with 27 French men, prisoners of war, who were marched to Porchester Castle and there confined.
