Captured ship: Biddy of London (master Michael Brown of Galway).
History: an English merchant ship (a snow, 100 tons), bound from Antigua and St Kitts to London; laden with cotton, rum and sugar; taken on 19/30 March 1745 about 50 leagues south of Cape Clear by the French privateer Le Chasseur of Bayonne (Bertrand Giraudet commanding), and retaken on 24 March/4 April by the privateer Falcon (George Stonehouse commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
