Captured ship: Beulah or Bewlah of Philadelphia (master James Child, and Jean Lange after the capture).
History: an English [American] merchant ship [140 tons, 2 guns, 13 men] bound from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to London; laden with sugar, indigo, pitch, tar, skins and cotton; taken on 19/30 March 1748 by the French privateer La Junon (Dominique Lange commanding) but retaken on or about 28 March/8 April by HMS Advice (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought into London.
