Captured ship: Berwick of London (master Laurence Borton Labarbinay, while a French prize).
History: an English merchant ship (230 tons, 16 guns), bound from Barbados to [London], laden with sugar and rhubarb; taken on 11/22 October 1747 about 30 leagues west of Scilly, by the French privateer Grand Biche (Francois Giraude commanding), retaken on 14/25 October by HMS Thetis (John Barker commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
