Captured ship: Bamff (master James Paterson before the capture).
History: an English merchant ship, bound from Carolina to England; taken on 19/30 April 1747 by the French privateer Revenge, and retaken on 26 April / 7 May about 12 leagues off the Sept Iles by HMS Grand Turk (Anthony Kerly commanding) and brought into Plymouth.
