Description

Captured ship: La Badine of La Rochelle (master Etienne Jacques Mullon).

History: a French merchant ship with a letter of marque (110 tons, six cannon and 4 swivel guns), bound from La Rochelle to Cap François, Saint Domingue, laden with wine, flour, cord, linens and provisions; taken on 2 February 1745 about 130 leagues west of the Rock of Lisbon, by HMS Alderney (Peter Toms commanding), and brought into Lisbon.
