Captured ship: St Antonio snow (master Antonio Alvez).
History: a Portuguese merchant ship (110 tons, 11 men) bound from Bilbao to Rotterdam, laden with sugar; seized by an English warship and taken into Scilly but released by the Governor, retaken on 1/12 May 1742 by HMS Scipio (James Brown commanding) and HMS Fly (Thomas Williams commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
