Captured ship: St Anne and St Rite (master Jean Gondré).
History: a French merchant ship (4 carriage guns, 6 swivel guns, 8 men), bound from Chester to Marseilles, laden with 72 tons of lead; taken on 21 May 1743 by the Spanish privateer Esperanza as carrying English goods, but retaken the next day by HMS Wolf (Samuel Lofting commanding) and HMS Fly (Thomas Williams commanding) and brought into Lisbon.
