Description

Captured ship: L'Angelique of Dieppe (master Nicolas Thierry or Tierrez).

History: a French merchant ship (formerly St Michel), bound from La Rochelle to Calais, laden with salt; taken on 28 October / 8 November 1744 by the privateer Prince of Wales of London (Richard Castle commanding), and brought into Dartmouth.
